Our Technique Training Program is designed for dancers who want to go deeper into their practice โ refining their technique, strengthening their musicality, and developing the precision and confidence that transform good dancing into great dancing.
This is not a casual class. Itโs a dedicated training space for dancers who want to improve seriously, with personalised feedback and a strong focus on technical development.
And for those interested in performing, this program is also the pathway to join the Sanura Salsa Performance Team โ the only Salsa FLINTA performance team in the WORLD.
In many salsa spaces, dancers learn patterns quickly but rarely get the opportunity to truly refine their technique.
This program was created to change that.
Our goal is to help dancers develop clean technique, musical awareness, and strong partner connection, so every movement becomes intentional, precise, and expressive.
The progress weโve seen from current members has been incredible โ not just in their dancing, but in their confidence and presence on the dance floor.
Training sessions focus on the technical elements that elevate your dancing.
We work on:
Clean technique
Precision & timing
Musicality and rhythm interpretation
Partnerwork and connection (lead & follow)
Body movement and styling
Choreography and movement memory
Stage presence and expression
Sessions include drills, repetition, partnerwork exercises, and choreographic exploration designed to build both technical accuracy and expressive freedom.
The program is intentionally kept small (10โ12 dancers maximum).
This allows for:
personalised feedback
individual technical corrections
deeper learning and development
a supportive team environment
Everyone trains together consistently, creating a group that supports and challenges each other as dancers.
The Technique Training Program is primarily focused on developing strong salsa technique, but it also opens the door to performance opportunities.
From within the program, dancers may be invited to join the Sanura Salsa Performance Team โ the only Salsa FLINTA performance team dedicated to creating a feminist and queer-centred stage experience.
Performance opportunities typically happen 4โ6 times per year, including community showcases and special events.
Performing is completely optional. Some dancers join the program purely to deepen their technique and musicality, while others choose to step on stage and share their work with an audience.
Our performances celebrate community, expression, and collective growth, creating a supportive environment where dancers can shine without the pressure of traditional competitive performance spaces.
Training is ongoing throughout the year, with sessions designed to continuously build dancersโ technical level.
Session length: 2 hours
Group size: 10โ12 dancers maximum
Entry: Application only (no audition)
To maintain the quality of training, members are expected to attend regularly and commit to their development.

There is no strict level requirement, but the program works best for dancers who are motivated, curious, and ready to invest time in their growth.

We had the honour to be invited to perform at the UKEDC annual event the past 11 Oct. We had a blast in the iconic, uniquer and out of a Hollywood film stage.
Because the program is intentionally kept small, places are limited.
If youโre ready to deepen your dancing and train in a supportive, empowering environment, weโd love to hear from you.
