Our QUEER Salsa Improver classes are designed for dancers who already feel comfortable with the basics and want to deepen their confidence, technique, and creativity on the dance floor.
If you’re comfortable with salsa timing, basic steps, leading and following, and simple turns, this level will help you expand your dancing while continuing to develop a strong connection with your partners.
Improver classes focus on helping you move beyond memorising patterns and start dancing with greater fluidity and musicality.
You’ll work on:
smoother transitions between moves
clearer leading and more responsive following
longer and more playful combinations
musicality and rhythm awareness
confidence dancing with different partners
The goal is to help you feel relaxed, expressive, and connected while dancing socially.
As in all Sanura classes, everyone learns both leading and following. This creates a more balanced and collaborative dance experience while encouraging empathy and communication between partners.
Sanura is a FLINTA-centred dance space where community matters as much as technique. Our classes welcome dancers across the LGBTQ+ spectrum and anyone looking for a more inclusive dance environment.
After every class, we continue the evening with a trip to the local pub, where dancers can relax, connect, and celebrate their progress together.
And with our monthly queer salsa social nights, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to practise your moves in a fun and welcoming setting.
