Responsibilities

As a Queer Dancing Instructor at Sanura Dance, you will play a crucial role in shaping the experience of our diverse students. Your responsibilities include:

• Teaching dance classes: Delivering engaging and inclusive dance classes that resonate with the FLINTA, LGBTQ+, and feminist spirit.

• Choreography: Creating dynamic and expressive choreography that aligns with Sanura Dance's commitment to diversity, body positivity, and confidence.

• Supporting and empowering students: Providing individualized attention, constructive feedback, and emotional support, encouraging students to embrace their unique identities through dance.

• Collaborating with the team: Working closely with our talented group to develop innovative dance programs, organize events, and contribute to the overall growth of Sanura Dance.

Additional Expectations

In addition to teaching, we value collaboration on content and advertisement creation. We expect Queer Dancing Instructors to actively contribute to:

• Content Creation: Collaborate on the creation of videos, photos, and other engaging content that reflects the vibrancy and inclusivity of Sanura Dance. This content will be shared across our social media platforms and communications.

• Advertisement Creation: Assist in the development of promotional materials and advertisements for workshops and events.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, we're looking for candidates who embody:

• Dance expertise: Proficiency in at least one dance style, with a welcoming approach to all genres. Teaching experience is a plus.

• Passion for inclusivity: A genuine commitment to creating safe spaces for the FLINTA, LGBTQ+, and feminist community.

• Excellent communication skills: The ability to communicate with empathy and clarity to foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.

• Creativity and adaptability: A creative mindset to develop unique choreography and contribute to content and advertisement creation.

Compensation and Bonus

• Hourly Rate: Up to £63/h, reflecting your expertise and dedication.

• Bonus Incentive: Enjoy a bonus of 2 full-price tickets when we sell 88% of the available spots. For example, for an 8-hour workshop, the total compensation is £480. If we've sold 84%, you'd receive a £73 bonus. If we've sold 88%, the total bonus is £146, making the total compensation £626.
